“This event is an opportunity to share best practices from our terminals across the Americas. We discussed the importance of decision making based on data obtained from various sources, such as terminal equipment and cranes, as well as from the operating system itself. This allows us to optimize capabilities through a uniform approach to data analysis, thus improving service for our customers,” said Ivan Deosdad, SVP Operations for SAAM Terminals.

Deosdad also highlighted the important data-related actions taken by the company: from visually managing operations, simplifying the user experience with data flows oriented by roles and responsibilities, to orchestrating processes in exception handling, improving human practice.

Another key point of his presentation was the user experience in the operations control room, highlighting the importance of integrated data analysis from execution to planning, promoting continuous improvement and real-time root cause analysis practices.

At the talk “Artificial Intelligence & Digital Innovations,” other experts also addressed digitalization in the maritime and logistics sector, from optimizing terminal operations to improving resource planning with predictive analytics.
