The new equipment, with a reach of 61 meters, is part of the terminal’s investment plan in the Biobío Region.

San Vicente Terminal Internacional (SVTI) has added a new Liebherr mobile crane to its operations. The crane features a 61-meter reach (equivalent to the 20th row) and a spreader height of 45 meters. This investment is part of SVTI’s plan to strengthen its position as a leading multipurpose terminal in the central-southern macrozone by entering new markets and expanding its customer base.

“This equipment will allow us to carry out safer, more reliable, and more efficient operations. We continue working to enhance our terminal with more technology and a strong safety culture,” said SVTI’s General Manager, Juan Pablo Santibáñez.

The 600-ton crane was transported from Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI) to SVTI using a naval platform provided by Tecnogrúas, following all the safety standards established for this type of operation.
