SAAM Terminals Workers and Executives Meet at Fourth Port Gathering

The activity brings together the multipurpose terminals operated by the company in Chile and will take place for the first time in Iquique.
More than 150 people will participate today and tomorrow in the fourth version of SAAM Terminals’ Port Gathering. This event—unique in the industry—brings together union leaders from its multipurpose terminals in Chile (Iquique, Antofagasta, San Antonio and San Vicente), customers and executives from the ports and the corporate office for a day of dialogue.
This year, it will be hosted by Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI), with talks, panels and collaborative activities planned for an environment that promotes the exchange of ideas and teamwork.
“Today we face a challenging context, marked by global uncertainty, greater demands for operational efficiency and the need to move towards an increasingly robust safety culture. In this context, dialogue is a powerful tool for moving forward together, continuing to promote talent and continuous improvement,” said SAAM Terminals CEO Mauricio Carrasco.
The program includes presentations by the Mayor of Iquique, Mauricio Soria; a discussion with executives from shipping and mining companies and representatives from the Bolivian National Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Francisco “Chaleco” López, three-time Dakar Rally champion, will address safety from an inspirational and motivational perspective.
