SAAM Terminals Recognized by Muv Latam and the Energy Sustainability Agency
Muv Latam and the Energy Ministry’s Energy Sustainability Agency recognized SAAM Terminals for its commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. The award was given for a pilot project to transport company employees in all-electric cars.
To reinforce this positive alliance SAAM Terminals will make Muv Latam’s electric executive transportation services available for its employees on an ongoing basis.
SAAM Terminals VP Sustainability and Communications María Cristina Schmidt commented, “This agreement seeks to strengthen our sustainability policy by promoting the use of electric vehicles as a viable, efficient solution to reduce our carbon footprint.”
Alexi Herrera, VP Procurement and Insurance, pointed out that “moving forward with this type of initiative with suppliers is part of the procurement area’s strategic objectives, which are linked to the sustainability policy.”
Earning this recognition is part of the company’s sustainable initiatives, which include using renewable energy, acquiring more efficient equipment and reducing Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions by 1,714 tons.
